Terms and Conditions
Anyone entering Bassa's Hardware premises, including the parking area, do so entirely at their own risk. Whilst every care will be taken Bassa’s hardware and/or their employees will not be held responsible for damages, theft, injury or death of any person or loss or damage to any property, however caused even arising from negligence of any degree.
Upon Entry of the Store all bags are to be left at the Parcel Counter. All valuables must be removed from any parcels which will be left at the parcel counter. All parcels are left at entirely the owners’ risk. Whilst every care will be taken Bassa’s hardware will not be held responsible for damages or theft to any parcels left at the parcel counter.
All goods purchased will be checked prior to exit. The till slip must be stamped by the dispatch on exit.
Whilst every care will be taken Bassa's hardware will not be held responsible for loss or damage to products once you exit the store.
Returns
Bassa's Hardware strives to provide the best possible service to its customers and has put the appropriate measures in place to ensure all its staff and suppliers are fully aware of, and comply with the Consumer Protection Act. We are committed to operate our business in terms of the requirements of the Consumer Protection Act and our returns policy is aligned therewith. Goods will be refunded or exchanged within 7(seven) working days, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, if the goods were defective, unfit for purpose or failed due to a design or manufacturing flaw.
Customers are required to present their original tax invoice or till slip. NO SLIP, NO RETURN.
Please note that it may not be possible to determine in-store whether goods have been damaged or what the cause of a failure or defect may be.
Accordingly,Bassa's Hardware reserves the right to refer returned goods for technical assessment by the manufacturer or authorized service centre prior to repairing, replacing or refunding an item and to provide the customer with feedback within 10 business days of receipt of the returned goods and to act accordingly.
If the goods show a defect after the initial 6 (six) month period, but are within the manufacturer’s warranty period, Bassa's Hardware may, at the customer’s request send the goods to the manufacturer for repair and the manufacturer will decide whether you will have a valid claim and if so, whether they will repair or replace as well or whether any charges will be levied in accordance with the terms of the warranty.
The manufacturer’s warranty will only apply to material defects in the process of manufacturing the goods and will not apply in the following instances:
damage caused by lightning or power surges; damage caused by misuse or abuse to the goods or contrary to instructions and warnings provided on the goods or their documentation;
goods used for a purpose other than the purpose for which they were intended e.g. commercial use of domestic appliances; accidental damage;
goods that have been altered or physically changed in any way;
and Once we have accepted a return and approved a refund, the customer will receive the refund in the same manner as payment was made i.e. cash, card or EFT.
A customer has a general right to return goods (a ‘cooling off period’) within 7(seven) business days after delivery, without penalty, should the product be unsatisfactory or incorrect.
The customer will be liable for the costs of returning the goods, should it relate to a change of mind purchase. Refunds will be finalised within 7 business days. Returned goods must be:
in its original packaging; and in its original condition
Certain conditions and exemptions apply. No returns will be accepted if:
goods have been altered in any way; there is a health risk attached
due to public and safety regulations. goods purchased are non-stock or special-order items.
goods which have been sold per meter which have been cut or if incorrect measurements where given.
Bassa's Hardware will refund or exchange a purchase for the exact amount paid less the following:
Any delivery costs already incurred by Bassa's Hardware.
Any restocking fee. If customers ask to delay the delivery or there have been delays in collecting the goods and during that time there has been a price increase on the goods purchased, then the customer will be liable to pay any difference in price.
If for any reason you would like to cancel an order, this may be done by contacting the branch where the purchase was made.
We reserve the right not to refund the delivery fee in respect of any late cancellations. If you cancel your payment for any reason or if your payment method should cease to be valid for whatever reason, you will nevertheless be bound to pay to the full purchase price, including all costs incurred by us relating to the recovery thereof.
No returns on electrical products.
Manufacturer’s warranty or guarantee will apply.
Returns will be calculated on quantity returned. Example - if 3-ton sand is taken and 2.8-ton sand in returned, the refund will apply to 2.8-ton sand.
You may return a product, at your cost, to the branch where the purchase was made, provided you have the original invoice/proof of purchase and have complied with the required terms and conditions set out by Bassa's Hardware.
Coupon terms and conditions: All coupons are valid for any products purhcased with the exception of the following items:
Bricks
Blocks
Cement
Roof Tiles
Any item on promotion
Only Original Coupons are valid.
Coupons are only valid if brought into store and produced while making a purchase.
Coupons are only valid up to an including the validation date stipulated.
Only one coupon can be used per transaction.
Online Coupons
Online coupons via our Facebook page,
google or our website can be redeemed by the following this procedure.
Visit our facebook page and like our page Send us a message to inform us you will visiting our store to make a purchase Inform the cashier of your Facebook name when making the purchase.

SMS/Whatsapp Coupons If you received a coupon via SMS or Whatsapp, you will need to bring in the phone with the SMS/Whatsapp message and show it to the cashier.
Coupons are only valid up to an including the validation date stipulated on the message.
Only one coupon can be used per mobile number.
Only one coupon can be used per transaction.
Once your sale order is approved, the SMS or Whatsapp message must be deleted from your phone in order to process the order.
